Request comfort for traumatized children

A teddy bear, a book, and a blanket may seem simple, but together they can offer powerful comfort to a traumatized child. The soft touch of a teddy bear provides a sense of safety and companionship, offering something to hold onto when the world feels uncertain. A cozy blanket wraps them in warmth, creating a small space of security and calm. A gentle book, read aloud or quietly flipped through, can offer escape, familiarity, and reassurance—reminding children that stories can have happy endings. These items, though small, help restore a child’s sense of control and nurture emotional healing in moments when they need it most.

The Power of Reading

Read with a child, and watch them grow,
In words and wonder they’ll soon overflow.
Each page turned is a path they take,
Building minds wide awake.

Vocabulary blooms with every rhyme,
Language grows strong over time.
Foundations form, both deep and true,
Preparing for all they’ll one day do.

Through stories, their worlds expand,
Imagination held by a guiding hand.
They learn of joy, of fears and tears,
Of far-off lands and hidden years.

Reading bonds the young and wise,
With shared smiles and sleepy eyes.
In every tale, love softly weaves,
A nest of trust that never leaves.

But reading’s gift goes far and wide,
It shows the world from every side.
New ideas, cultures, thoughts unfold—
Adventures inked in black and gold.

Empathy grows where stories dwell,
In voices different, truths they tell.
It sharpens thought, it fuels the flame,
Of questions asked and knowledge gained.

So hand them books and let them see,
The world beyond the backyard tree.
For every word and tale we share,
Builds a mind prepared to care.

A passport waiting, in their hand—
To dream, to question, to understand.
And all of this, from story time,
One little book, one simple rhyme.

Safe environments COMING SOON

Reynolds Provisions is actively seeking partnerships with construction and infrastructure organizations to support the development of safe, customized environments for children. Our mission is to implement infrastructure improvements that address the specific safety risks present in each community we serve. For example, in regions prone to tornadoes, we plan to construct reinforced storm shelters to provide secure hiding places during severe weather events. In flood-prone areas, we will prioritize elevation and drainage solutions to reduce risk. In communities impacted by extreme heat, shaded outdoor areas and cooling systems will be integrated into design plans.

Also, and just as important, in areas where gun violence is a concern, we are exploring the installation of secure indoor safety zones and reinforced classroom spaces, as well as controlled access points and security measures that support active shooter preparedness protocols.

These targeted enhancements are part of our comprehensive commitment to creating environments where every child can feel safe, protected, and supported—no matter the circumstance.

Safety needs comes in many forms.

Safety training is important because it prepares children and adults to respond quickly and calmly in emergencies, helping to prevent injury and save lives. Whether it’s a fire, extreme weather, or an unexpected threat, knowing what to do reduces fear and confusion. For children especially, clear and consistent safety training builds confidence and a sense of control, helping them feel more secure in unfamiliar or frightening situations. It also ensures that everyone—students, teachers, and caregivers—can work together as a team to stay safe. Simply put, safety training turns fear into readiness, and readiness into protection.
